Episode 63: Chris McCaffrey on Running

Chris McCaffrey is a Tampa area runner and manager at the St. Pete Running Company. John has been enjoying their twice weekly group runs since before the store was open and has seen Chris routinely winning at events from 5k’s to triathlons, his most recent win coming last weekend at the Chilly Willy Duathlon at Fort DeSoto Beach. We have asked Chris to come on the show to discuss his training philosophies, especially regarding the time of day that is best to train and using VO2 testing to your advantage. Chris can be contacted through the St. Pete Running Company website HERE.

John has started another Team in Training effort, this time for the Fletcher Flyer Century Ride in North Carolina on June 7. You can donate to John’s cause HERE.

And speaking of fund raising, Andrew’s daughter Olivia, the wonderful voice you hear at the beginning of every show, is doing Jump Rope for Heart. Please donate to her cause HERE.

Andrew’s winning essay is located HERE.

John has also started a Kickstarter campaign for a Fat Slow Triathlete clothing line. This is his first time attempting this, so if you feel the need to help, there are numerous incentive levels you can pledge to and become part of the movement. You can find the page HERE.
